Vision

As America ages over the coming decades there will be a great increase in the number of elderly people in this country; and subsequently the number of people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of memory impairment. In fact, by 2030 there will be an increase of 8 million people with some form of memory impairment. Currently, there are only approximately 500,000 “beds” that can accommodate people with the need for memory care in this country. At present there are over 5.3 million people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of memory impairment living in the United States. Of these 5.3 million people 50 percent of them require some sort of 24 hour monitored care in a home such that LaSalle provides. This equates to current demand exceeding supply by a 5 to 1 ratio. Furthermore, it indicates in the coming years there will be greatly expanding opportunities in this field.

The LaSalle Group would like to see quality care available for every person with Alzheimer’s and other forms of memory impairment. We are making efforts to be a part of this expanding healthcare opportunity. Our goal is to increase our presence in under-served markets through strategic planning and calculated placement of new homes, while seeking additional opportunities in other ancillary services and specialized real estate.
